High Rise Building in Melbourne, what do you think?

Melbourne is one of the most developing cities in the world, and it is known that Melbourne might surpass economics of Sydney in the next five to ten years, whether it is in the aspect of building, sustainable development or education, Melbourne has the most prestigious University in Australia, which is University of Melbourne, and thus, this "historical-educational" aspect has been lead to the population overflowed into the Melbourne CBD. According to the Australian Education Network, the evidence showed that most international students in Melbourne came from Monash University, RMIT and University of Melbourne, and the numbers of international students in these three institutions are 22,140, 26,590 and 14,116 respectively compared to other less renowned universities which have the record of less than 10,000 international students in each institutions (these including the outer suburb university such as Latrobe, Deakin, Victoria universities and other non-university ). Therefore, this particular reason had obviously caused Melbourne to be inevitably going for high-rise in the CBD.
If there are only townhouses and 4 to 6 level residential projects build in the city, Melbourne will be facing many negative aspect in terms of economy (such as the loss of profits from education sector, loss of career investors and experience deindustrialized situation). However, high-rise building actually benefited to the city as it lead the country to be more developing, but it certainly caused some adverse environmental effect particularly traffic issues (more vehicles and public infrastructure).

In order to solve the now and then environmental pollution, Melbourne always developed new eco design to cope with the overload carbon dioxide pollution from the vehicles. Nowadays, car parks are designed with paving that can absorbed oils, fuels, road salts and other materials which cause environmental problems. And also, the pervious design can solve the parking lots problem. More than that, green roof is another great solution and innovative design to benefited in sustainable development, it serve as a natural and permanent solution to absorb the excessive carbon dioxide produced in the car park.
