I am planning to come to Australia for my Masters of Property Development/Real Estate (My family Business is into Construction/Real Estate, hence want to specialize in it).
I spoke to couple of councilors and they short listed the following Universities: 1) RMIT 2) University of New South Wales 3) University of Technology, Sydney 4) Queensland University of Technology If you know any other Universities offering this course, kindly forward me the names of it. Which one is better in education and also in terms of reputation? And how different are each city from another? (Sydney, Melbourne, Queensland) I did my BBA from Temple University, USA and cant wait to come to a different country to do my Masters. Hope to hear from somebody soon. Cheers. P.S. Yeah, I am from India too. ![]() |

They are all quite good unis. I think UNSW would have the better reputation, then UTS, RMIT, and QUT. However, the particular program might be better at any one of the listed unis, regardless of reputation.
The better city is something you have to decide. Sydney is crowded and expensive but very beautiful around the harbour and lots of things to do. Melbourne is friendly, easier to get around, but a bit cold sometimes in Winter. Brisbane also easy to get around, everything is centrally located, but gets a bit hot and humid in summer. |

Thank You for your reply.
Its a very difficult decision for me to take in terms of choosing a University. I am also more inclined to go to UNSW. Nevertheless, I am still researching on which other University is offering thiscourse. Cheers |

What is required to become a real estate agent?
I'm thinking of majoring in real estate and had a few questions for this job. What are majors required to become a real estate agent? Are there any colleges that specialize in that major? How about the required degrees? How many years of education will it take? |

How do I get in the commercial real estate industry? I am 22 years old and looking to get in the commercial real estate industry, preferably the leasing aspect. What would be fundamentally required for a person as young as me to be even considered for a job in a large commercial real estate firm? Considering I have a real estate agents license, what else would be needed or would interest a company in hiring someone so young? In other words, how can I get my foot in such an industry, thus giving me a chance to work my way up?

Hey im deciding whether i should take a degree in Business (Property) too, from Uni South Australia. I graduated in Singapore with a Diploma in Property Development and Facilities Management. Hence, I got a year exemption for this degree.
I have not decided whether I will want to work a property related firm in future, so is it advisable to go into this degree? Anyway, is it true that RMIT offers attachment programmes? I heard that other unis don't offer. |

Quote:
You need a Real Estate License in order to own and run Real Estate Agency which you can get it from TAFE college. There are several universities offering real estate course (but they don't usually offer Real Estate License) and requirements are vary among univs/colleges. Most of the programs require 3~4 years of FT study. |
