Hong Kong education system

This is my first year second semester, really happy!

 Enjoyed very much at Australia.

Met some new Hong Kong friends which just started for their semester 1.

All these Hong Kong friends,

I wondered why they same age with me but they said they just graduated from high school?

While I've graduated for 3 years?

After a period of chit-chat,

Oh! I just knew basically Hong Kong have a different education system than Malaysia.

For Malaysia, we spend 5 years in our high school, and straight to foundation.

while for Hong Kong, they spend 8 years for their high school !

But they could straight to degree first year :D

I asked Ying just now

'Hey... why you all study 8 years for high school? Got so many years? We malaysia just 5 years only.'

She said

'We middle school 3 years, high school 5 years, our senior 1-3 (3 years) and another two years is A-level, so total is 8 years.'

I said

'A-level? A-level not one year only? You all compulsory take A-level?'

She said

'Yes. We took our A-level in high school, because Hong Kong was dominated by England last time, so we followed England education system.'

I said

'Oh... actually we Malaysia also got senior 3, but we call it as form 6, I think it same with yours also, because if you take form 6 also can straight go degree. Our form six take us for 2 years so I think its same like A-level.'

She said

'So you all also compulsory take that what form 6?'

I said

'No... we are not compulsory... because form 6 take two years.... and foundation only take one year, so most people prefer to go foundation.'

She laughed and said

'HAHA both got what different? Also a path to go degree, still got people want to study form 6?'

I said

'Those people study form 6 because they don't have money to study foundation, because our foundation we study in University, our high school don't have foundation or A-level ones... so if go University or colleges need to pay money mah... so they just go government school form 6 lo... no need pay money....'

She said

'Oh... Our Hong Kong A-level compulsory take it in high school ones.... then you got go form 6?'

I said

'No... I went foundation one year and rest one year.... then last year October intake go in first year lo... You?'

She said

'Me? Last year high school A-level until December, this year February I straight come in first year lo....'

I said

'Oh I think you all Hong Kong slow one year... because I got friends who study form 6, they last year already went in first year....'

She said

'Ya... because we got extra senior 3 as compulsory...'

I said

'HAHA you all hong kong people all kuat study ones... we all Malaysia study few years can graduate d... lousy ones....'

She asked

'Then how much is your foundation fees?'

I said

'Depends on what course you took... last time I took engineering was $12K.'

She said

'$12K ??? If I am malaysian, i prefer go to what form 6, study one more year only.... free!'

I laughed and said

'HAHAHA!!! Honestly I dont like high school....'

She asked

'Why? High school very good ah.... like us... we study since high school for 8 years.... 8 years friendship...'

I said

'Actually not about friendship la... friend you go where also got new friends ones what... is because I dont like to wear Uniform... that kind of life....'

She laughed and said

'Uniform?? Your country uniform very ugly?'

I said

'Damn ugly! We are worldwide top ugliest uniform.'

She laughed and said

'Really?? Show me show me!!! hahaha I wanna see how ugly was it to make you so hatred of your school life?'

I accessed my mobile facebook and showed her this!

When she saw she really laughed out loud!

She even said in mandarin

'Really ugly hahaha!!! Look like cooking education!!!'

I said

'Yours yours?? I wanna see how's hong kong ones...'

She said

'We got 4 seasons uniform.... which one you want to see?'

I said

'You got what then show me what lo...'

When she showed me theirs!

Oh my gosh!

That's too incomparable to Malaysia !

HAHAHA!!

At that time,

when Cornelia, Ada, Carol heard our chit-chat laughter,

they even showed to each other their high school uniforms.

Seems like, we were comparing to each other!

Mine is the ugliest one - MALAYSIA! Even librarian's wear also can't look at all !!

(From all sides and every angle, it just so ugly! Hahahaha!)

Carol said

'Actually Hong Kong look upon money ones.... we study private school then the uniform very beautiful, if we study government ones... the uniform tak boleh tengok!'

Then I said

'Alah... every countries also look upon money ones... you know? Few days ago... my China owner told me in China also look upon money ones... she said one 40+ years old old man can married a 20 years old girl, she asked me believe or not? Then I said I don't believe... I said that girl so young why she wants to choose old people? Second, old people also die faster.... then she said die even better, because if die already all the money attribute wife already... then when my another owner heard it, she is Australian, she said in Australia also the same... got money everything also can.... she said in Australia, everybody wants to stick with rich people, so the old man married 20 years old is not a big deal....'

Carol asked

'Then your school uniform is private school ones or government school ones?'

I said

'Mine is government school ones....'

She asked

'Why you so rich don't you study private school?'

I said

'Because in M'sia we don't have many private school, just like in my state, only got Pay Fong high school one private school only... is Chinese independent school... my younger brother study there...'

She said

'Very good what... why dont you study with your brother?'

I said

'My chinese not good.... if my Chinese good, you think I want to study that stupid government school? Study government school very terrible ones you know? All sort of incidents will happen ones... I tell you, I wont let my future child go in government school ones... definitely!'

When I said that,

everybody was looking at me with a strange expression.

Carol suddenly asked me

'Why you said until like you have any dark shadow towards government school like that?'

When she said like that,

everyone laughed at me !

Certainly,

sometimes unconscious thoughts always unable to obscure.

We talked in an unconscious manners, we expressed our bad feelings naturally without any reason.

Truthfully,

I am the only one who understood what I been experienced in my high school,

I knew that kind of flashback, feeling, bad suffering, tortured, worst memories in my deepest heart,

so

 I WILL NEVER AND EVER LET THIS HAPPEN ON MY FUTURE CHILD.

I don't want they suffer what I have been suffer in past,

its really too torturing, for years!

Maybe when I said that, nobody can understand the hurt,

because they don't experience before, they just listened the stories but never truly feel it !

I can't even forget, and its whole lifetime trauma.

I can't let my child have the chances or opportunity to near the trauma.

I can't let anyone of them get into government school.

I dont want!

Because its too dangerous !

I willing to spend more money and avoid all these!

After the trauma,

e my education concept is

'This type of thing will only happened in classless school, if I send my child to international school, who dares to touch her?'

I don't know why my friends from Hong Kong all came from international school and boarding school,

they don't ever suffer what I been suffer.

They live happily throughout their school life.

But I was really miserable after my seventeen.

I am wondering whether the reason is because I came from government school,

so I did get ill-treated from the school staff?

While them,

they enjoyed their luxurious boarding school,

their parents paid for hundred thousands for them to ensure their security in school.

For Ada- she having her high school years A-levels in England.

For Carol,

she spent her high school years in Hong Kong Chinese Women's club college,

the most expensive boarding school in HONG KONG!

Look at the building structure of her school, you already can know how much her parents paid for it!

(They are international college! Dont think that they wore a similar red jacket means can fight with GBS uniform!)

For Ying (center one), she spent her high school years in one of the Hong Kong boarding school.

Look at their boarding school uniform already know the motto of

 'ONCE YOU TOUCHED CONSIDER SOLD'.

She is from one of the royalty school in Hong Kong.

While me,

free education deserved the worst thing in the world.

 Just because people think I came from special school, so I deserved the worst thing in the world?

That is why I truly believed that

'Free education deserve the worst thing in the world.'
