Educational expansion
Okay!
I've decided to move into a bigger city upon my completion of bachelor degree,
I no longer wants to stay in the urban life of Adelaide any more,
it's dead boring for me to go to Glenelg beach every fortnightly,
I'm going to the capital city of Australia - New South Wales, to broaden and widen my education level,
I'm going to enrol into the University of New South Wales upon my bachelor degree completion,
Haha! Mai Siao Siao!
I'm Siao Cha Bo but studying in the top school, University of New South Wales !
University of New South Wales sounds reputable right?
I'm Siao Cha Bo but studying in the top school, University of New South Wales !
University of New South Wales sounds reputable right?
It's even sounds better than University of South Australia.
LOL! I'm choosing the uni according to 'pleasing to the ear' instead of the real best course in the uni.
Definitely,
I've done enough of Google research,
it stated the best Journalism school goes to University of New South Wales and follow by University of Melbourne and University of Technology Sydney.
(Not all school listed below have Master degree, they do only offer bachelor degree, Bond University is an online school.)
Top journalism schools in Australia
February, 2010: The most recent survey shows that Jschool is again among top-ranked journalism schools in Australia, with 100 percent of graduating students giving it "high" or "very high" satisfaction levels.
Jschool is one of only two Australian journalism courses to have received the top rating in the latest comparative survey. Jschool is also the only journalism school to have been Number 1 four years in a row. For comparisons across the past four years, see Rankings of journalism schools
2008 survey
Actually,
my current uni - University of South Australia has a great reputation for journalism stream too,
but I'm too tired to stay under boredom as well as it's too thrilling for me gone through the 'jungle' campus everyday.
I afraid of koala, snakes and dogs in the campus zone,
I wanna escape this animals kingdom upon my completion of bachelor degree.
Master degree 'smells good' for my education background,
I have the benefits of avoid considering the issue of being unemployed in my future career (Everyone have bachelor degree, but not everyone have master degree),
in addition,
Australia highly needs the demand of managers, directors and coordinators in whatsoever field,
and all these are actually the vacancies of master degree holders,
besides,
I've observed the salary of Australia jobs via Google and made some comparison between education levels,
the benefits of being a master degree holder is it earn more than a Bachelor degree holder due to the higher position in the industrial sector.
Master degree holder position would be media planner, media consultant, journalist consultant and media manager;
Bachelor degree holder position would be secretary of manager, manager assistant and post-production writer.
LOL! That's it !
So there are many reasons that I choose to study Master degree now.
Besides than that,
Mommy could 'won face' in Malaysia as she said she is happy to tell people that her youngest daughter studying Master in Australia.
She loves that kind of feeling a lot and I loved it too,
and I believed daddy loved it too + also! Haha!
It's my pleasure, glorious and accountability as a child to make my parents proud :)
The most importantly,
the reason that I would choose the University of New South Wales as my master degree of Journalism it's because it only takes 1 year to complete the master degree,
other school takes at least 1.5- 2 years.
This is the advantage of studying in this school,
and the worst part of studying in Australia is it takes extra one year compared to UK and USA;
Australia's bachelor degree extra one year and master degree also extra one year.
That's the disadvantage of studying in Australia,
I been told daddy that I regret of choose to studying in Australia,
I said I wish to go UK in the first place because of their shorter duration of studying,
normal degree over UK just takes 3 years, but Australia takes 4 years.
Daddy said
'Dont compared this and that, study more means that country education has higher demand, means their student not cin cai cin cai can graduate ones... they are qualified to graduate, and their certificate is more reputable. Just like you compared Malaysia University with Australia, why people will wa wa wa when they heard someone else graduate from Australia? Because their certificate is more reputable and they have high demand in their education, that is why there study more....'

I said
'Then why UK also sounds reputable but why they study less 1 year? Huay Ling's boyfriend said all his siblings choose to study at UK its because there got lesser 1 year study duration when compared to Australia, he said his father last time studied in Australia, that is why he knew there got extra 1 year and sent all his children to UK. Then after he told me that, I go and check our Australia course structure, really extra a lot subjects... extra 8 subjects! Means extra 1 year course! He told me he studied engineering at UK for degree + master only need 4 years over there, in Australia need 6 years, because in Australia degree 4 years and master 2 years... and then Emily told me she wants go UK study law also, because she said there only master 1 year, and Australia master for law also 2 years.... and my this journalism also, in Australia also extra 1 year.... you see, extra one or two years also money! Extra 1-2 years living costs + tuition fees!'
Daddy said
'Ya la! Also true! Australia is a very rich country because their country earned through education sector, all Asians like China, Hong Kong, Malaysians, Singaporean or Indonesians, the worldwide go their country study... that is why their country so rich... now their economy is better than UK.... '

I said
'Oh ya lo ya lo... Huay Ling's boyfriend also told me the same thing, I said I regret study in Australia, then he told me Australia is better than UK, he said because UK very chaotic ones... he said there got robbery and even a lot of shooting case... and he said UK very dirty ones... in tram got pee on floor.... But in Australia very clean ones... dont know why... even our school toilet I can put my bag on floor when I shh shh... and I never seen robbery since I came Australia till now, even accident also dont have...'
Daddy said
'Ya... Australia is a very safe and peaceful country, their country very quiet ones... UK is a noisy country, because they got a lot of countdown all that... Australia all shops closed at 5pm... hahaha!'
I said
'How you know?'
Daddy said
'Ya la... Australia is like that ones... their people walk on street never loud loud ones...'
I said
'UK people will meh?'
Daddy said
'UK is a booming country, that is why their people is more noisy....'
I said
'Then Australia not booming ones?'
Daddy said
'Also booming, but different country different culture, Australia is like New Zealand that type... very very quiet ones... secondly is because Australia dont have big population....'
I said
'Ok ok! THen I want to stay in Australia already... because I like quiet quiet ones....'
Daddy said
'Hmmmmm.....'
(Then our conversation had came to an end. LOL)
