Verbal language in dreams is the speech—most commonly in the form of a dialogue between the dreamer him/herself and other dream characters—which forms part of the overall (mostly imagistic) dream scenario. Historically, there have been abundant references to verbal language in dreams going back millennia. Early in the twentieth century German psychiatrist Emil Kraepelin presented a large corpus of dream speech, almost all from his own dreams and virtually all deviant, without any pretense that this was representative of dream speech in general. The first systematic elicitation of verbal language in dreams from a large subject pool under methodological protocols was presented beginning in the early 1980s, along with detailed analyses as well as theoretical consideration of the implications for various dream models, from the psychoanalytic approach to more recent theories.

Recently,

I feel something different on myself which is I speak trilingual in my dream.

LOL! I don't know why.

Then I went Google search what's the meaning if I speak multiple languages in my dream?

When I woke up, I felt so ridiculous.

I spoke Malaysian English, Mandarin, Australian English and even hokkien.
LMAO! Ain't kidding!

Sometimes,

Kaima talked to me about what Pn Lye told her,

so she speak Hokkien when she told me,

I asked her to pretend ask Pn Lye (does she dreams, if yes, ask her what she dream),

I told Kaima not to say my name that I'm the one who ask,

just pretended tell her what you dreamt first and then only ask her does she dreamt? LOL!

Then Kaima told me that Pn Lye said

'Bo Lah! Wa bo dream eh.... wo ye ba jiu bi sa ki, gun ka za ki....'

And now,

I began to dreamt of I speaking Hokkien with Kaima while dreaming.

LOL! Because we were discussing about how Pn Lye speak,

so we both speak in Hokkien during the discussion.

And I don't know why now I almost everyday dreamt in the language of Australian English rather than Malaysian English in my dream,

for example I dreamt of what my classmates talked to me and what we laughed,

and dreamt of my friend's baby and dreamt of I went shopping centre bought something,

someone talked to me and so on.

And I dreamt of I went to salon dyed my hair to anime ocean colour,

I want to speak back a proper Malaysia accent and I afraid I can't do it any more (people might laugh at me).

However,

I always avoid oddness,

I tried to speak the right language at the right place,

for example, speak Australian English in Australia and speak Malaysian English in Malaysia,

but I feel like I can't do it any more,

I wish I could speak two languages conditionally,

so I scared nobody going to understand what I'm talking and fail me if I accidentally include sort of Australia accent.

I'm afraid nobody will going to understand my Australian English if I don't speak proper Malaysian broken English, LOL!

I told daddy about that and said I scared people laugh at me;

thinking I come from Alien (speaking Australian English in Malaysia).

Daddy told me

'Is like that ones lah! Nothing ones! Just like Ah Boon (our relative), he went China working for 6 months, when he came back Malaysia, he speak Mandarin also got a bit China slang. Because already used to speaking another language in another country, so its a bit hard to think use back the old language you speak.'

Vividly recalled the first time when I back to Malaysia (after 1 year),

Beatrice and Ashely told me that my accent changed when I came back from Australia,

*In the case that I don't notice at all (I thought I'm speaking Malaysian English)

And the Bonani restaurant ladyboss told me my accent changed too,

*In the case I've tried my best speak back Malaysian accent when Im in Malaysia, but I still include some Australia words (accent) unconsciously

I'm always very worry that I behave oddly in the communities,

and I'm trying my best to avoid being odd,

I want to be flexible in speaking bilingual fluently without think twice of the accent (Malaysian accent and Australian accent),

I don't want incorporate any Australian accent when I speak in Malaysia.

Whenever I come back Malaysia,

I always tried my best to add words like meh and mah at the end of my sentence to make myself speak more normal as well as to don't sounds like Australian accent.

LOL!

In fact,

I admired those people who could speak both Australian accent and Malaysian accent flexibly,

I heard Chin yean said one of her friend could did that amazingly,

when he speaks in Malaysian accent,

he doesn't even includes any Australian accent at all.

I asked Chin yean how could that person did it?

She answered me

'Dont know.'

I asked her

'Hows about you? Can you speak back 100% Malaysia slang when you back to Malaysia?'

She laughed and said

'hahaha! Need to practise. Because in Malaysia my friends all speak mandarin since I came from Pay Fong, and when I came to Australia, all totally speak Australian accent, so I very seldom speak Malaysian English. So after I came Australia for few years already, I cant speak Malaysian accent already. Too long already.'
