High tea today

Today,

I tried new make-up skills,

smoky eyes, reddest lipsticks and tied my hair in a bun.

Everyone said I look like ballerina of the day :)

Today 3pm,

have a high tea date with my high tea gang buddies.

The so called 'high tea gang buddies' refer to those who afford to make a pay for such a heaven's tea.

Yeah! Stamford's hotel !

Not everyone could afford,

even me,

I only have once or twice a month.

But the every beautiful desserts and little cakes on the triple layer tier is really satisfying our immediate hunger.

 

Because all of us woke up at 1pm,

and after make-up is around 2pm,

and when we grabbed our bus to the city is around 3pm.

So we have our official high tea time at 3pm! LOL!

Downstairs is fully seated,

so we have our high tea at upstairs with the spectacular view of the city street.

I believed,

all of us are having empress life here, 

we woke up when the clock tells us its afternoon, make-up like a princess, attended high tea gallantly, grabbing pictures together and see who is the prettiest one of the day, sit down and having the delicious desserts bite, chit-chat about lady's brands and world travelling destination.

That's what every ladies wanted; including the peer circles.

But yet,

not everyone could mix in and adapt that kind of ambience.

When I getting matured and mix them more,

I understand what so called 'kick out' or 'crowd out' when someone doesn't has sufficient of pocket money.

Just like today,

when we sit down together and planned to go Gold Coast in this end of the year,

they were asking

'Who afford to go' instead of 'Who wants to go'.

Honestly,

I still prefer this kind of frankly asking way,

because for me,

I think that friends should be talk in a frankly way instead of twist and turn in a courtesy! LOL!

And we still planned to go Thailand in January.

We discussed this delightedly and excitedly.

They asked me not to spend too much on my birthday party and spend those for holidays.

They suggest me to have high tea party instead of dinner party so I could cut down my invitation cost.

And they asked me to cut down the invited guests number to 10 persons,

in the ambience of lesser people,

it look grander and will be more perfect.

I asked them

'10 persons? Will too less or not?'

Chin Yean even laughed at me and said

'Hahaha! 10 already consider a lot ! You want how many? 100 people?'

I said

'15-20'

Chloe even laughed and told Chin Yean

'Hahaha! Dont forget, she is hyperactive one, for her, 10 is not many. For us, 10 is like everyone talking here and there.'

I said

'10 wor? People will feel I not cordial enough or not?'

Chloe said

'10 people still not cordial? 10 people consider a lot already, sometimes our birthday just got 4-5 people only. Plus your birthday less people, will look more high class, is like not everyone can attend. Is selective ones.'

Chin yean said

'Ya lo! Dont call so many people lah!'

I said

'But my Facebook already invite 15 persons and 6 attends.'

Chloe said

'Aiya straight delete the invitation lah!'

I said

'How can? Later my friend ask me why suddenly delete? Dont want invite them d?'

Chin Yean said

'If they got come then just let them come, bo bian, but if they never come, dont care them.'

I said

'Then let say 10 persons, each person is $39 for the high tea. 10 persons not $390 only?'

She said

'Anah! Better than you invite dinner, each person $65, 15 persons $720. Almost half leh... you can save money go Thailand. I tell you thailand super cheap ones... you save few hundreds aussie dollar, you can spend money like no need to look at price at Thailand. We go together lah! Me, you, hung kiat, serena and maybe you can ask Emily comes along!'

I said

'Emily ah? Hmmmm... I not sure about her, because she got budget ones... If go shopping or KTV only I got call her ones... if go holiday overnight ones I usually never call her ones...'

She said

'You tell her very cheap d la... you say we 5 persons sharing, see she ok or not? If she not ok, we 4 persons go also can....'

After I asked Emily,

she said she got final exam.

I said

'Emily said got final exam.'

Chloe said

'Then we 4 persons go lo... also ok mah... very cheap edi...'

I said

'Ok! No problem!

Chloe said

'Clar, remember! You should spend more on yourself, dont spend more on others! Dont sha sha! You see! You spend birthday is spend on others, but you spend on holidays is spend on yourself.'

Chin Yean said

'Ya la! She very stupid one! You cut down the expenses from your birthday function and spend it the money when you go Thailand! You can eat till shuang buy till shuang! Totally no need look at price ones!'

Chloe said

'Ya la! Clar! I tell you... last year I went Thailand, I bought 20-30 kg things, whatever things that I want I straight took without looking at price, when convert back to Malaysia ringgit only RM1500! Plus included foods, when I go their restaurant or cafe, I just simply ordered without looking at price.'

Chin yean said

'You see, initially you still want to make dinner function, each person $65 dollar, and you invite 15 persons, already $720. Still got beverage leh? Impossible your guests no need drink mah... still got cake leh... some more hire the function room leh... another 300... so will be around $1500... if you make high tea party, each person $39 only, and you invite 10 persons enough, then $390 only... cake the most $50... then you order one sparkling wine is around 60.... 10 persons sharing one bottle, because not everyone drink wine... then only $500 nia.... lagi good, and desserts a lot people like more than dinner...'

Chloe said

'Anoh! And you can enjoy their Australia culture, if you invite dinner function, Malaysia also got! When you come Australia, must have some special party like pool party or high tea party that Malaysia seldom have ones... also more high class and unique!'

I laughed and said

'Ok lah! Then I just make high tea party and invite 10 person enough lah... not cincai cincai people can come ones hahaha!'
